Preschool Teacher Aide (Ages 3–5)
Full-Time | Summers Off | Non-Exempt | In Person
Make a Difference in Early Childhood Education
Do you have a passion for helping preschool-aged children learn and grow? Join SEK-CAP, Inc. as a Teacher Aide and play an essential role in creating a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment. You’ll partner with teachers to support curriculum implementation, encourage social-emotional development, and ensure active supervision of children during daily routines and activities.
What You’ll Do
- Engage children in play-based learning and language development.
- Assist with classroom activities, indoor/outdoor play, and mealtime routines.
- Support curriculum implementation and positive behavior strategies.
- Observe and document child development in the agency’s data system.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and volunteers to create a welcoming environment.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or GED required
- CDA or Associate’s in Early Childhood Education preferred (or willingness to obtain CDA within 12 months)
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines
