Role Description The Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-aligned lessons, assessing student learning, and providing timely feedback to support academic growth. The Teacher will manage classroom routines, create an inclusive and safe learning environment, and use data to adjust instruction to meet diverse student needs. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with grade-level and content teams, communicating regularly with families and caregivers, and participating in professional development and school-wide events. The Teacher will also model the school’s values, maintain high expectations for all students, and contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and content-area knowledge relevant to the teaching assignment.
- Demonstrated skills in Lesson Planning and instructional design to create rigorous, student-centered learning experiences.
- Proficiency in Teaching and Training, including classroom management and differentiation for diverse learners.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, colleagues, and school leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree required; valid Texas teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification preferred.
- Experience working in K–12 settings, ideally in urban or public charter schools, is highly valued.
- Commitment to educational equity, culturally responsive teaching, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to use student data and educational technology tools to inform instruction and track progress.
