Founded in 1887, Dignity Health – California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California. Serving over 70,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, women’s health, and a family birth center. In 2025, we opened our new patient tower, Grand Tower, featuring a dramatically expanded Emergency Department and Family Birth Center that will increase patient comfort and privacy.

Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The California Hospital Medial Center Early Care and Education programs provide early care and education services for infants toddlers and pre-school children. Staff within these programs are charged with nurturing and stimulating the social emotional language cognitive and physical development of each child. Center-based Early Care and Education programs are open year round from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday though Friday. Duties include:
Planning and preparing daily classroom activities.
Direct instructional services.
Maintaining high quality classroom environments
Daily record keeping.
Qualifications
2 years of experience working with children birth to five years.
AA in Child Development or a minimum of 24 Child Development units required.
Current CPR and First Aid training required
Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred.
California Department of Education Teacher Permit preferred
Pay Range
$23.00 – $29.00 /hour
