The African Studies Centre is on the lookout for a dedicated Sessional Lecturer to teach the course AFR
351Y. This role will involve exploring various African cosmologies, epistemologies, and theories while analyzing specific case studies on gender and justice. You will deliver content to approximately 35 students, managing classroom responsibilities including grading and office hours to foster academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement course curriculum

• Administer tests and evaluate student assignments

• Calculate and submit grades punctually

• Provide students with additional learning support during office hours

• Conduct all classes rge (Downtown Toronto)

Requirements:

• Ph.D. completed in relevant disciplines

• Scholarly background in African Studies

• Teaching experience in higher education preferred

• Engagement with diverse student communities

• Ability to adapt in-person teaching styles effectively
