Job Description
We are looking for Supply Educational Assistants in the Mandarin classes to provide cover in the absence of Educational Assistants.
This is a casual need-based vacancy. Applicants will only be contacted when a need or vacancy arises.
- To actively support all students to access the Chinese curriculum
- To support by making and managing resources, as well as taking on practical roles of responsibility for administrative activities
- To join and work cohesively within a highly motivated and professional group of teachers and educational assistants
- To link and communicate effectively with support staff
- To ensure that appropriate confidentiality standards are in place and enforced
- To build and maintain successful relationships with students, treating them with respect, consideration, and a concern for their well-being and development as learners.
Requirements
- Fluent in Putonghua and English
- Ability to work effectively with individual students, small groups and whole class under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher
- Contribute to a range of teaching and learning activities
- Sufficient knowledge, expertise, and awareness of students' social, emotional, and learning needs to work effectively with teachers as part of a professional team
- Knowledge of Hanyu Pinyin
- Strong IT skills
