Job Description: Summer Camp Lead Teacher & Passenger Van Driver
Join the Fun at Fit n Fun Childcare! Are you looking for a high-energy summer job where you can make a real impact? Fit n Fun Childcare in Rapid City is seeking dedicated, enthusiastic individuals to join our Summer Camp 2026 team. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, engaging, and active environment for children to learn and play.
Available Roles:
- Summer Camp Lead Teachers (18+): Lead groups of children through daily activities, outdoor adventures, and educational projects.
- 13-Passenger Van Drivers (21+): Safely transport our campers to exciting field trips and local activities.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage & Inspire: Facilitate age-appropriate games, crafts, and team-building activities that promote child development and social skills.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain a secure environment by following all childcare safety protocols and supervising children during indoor and outdoor play.
- Lead by Example: Act as a positive role model, fostering a "fun first" atmosphere while maintaining classroom management.
- Transportation (Drivers Only): Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and ensure the safe transit of campers across Rapid City.
What We’re Looking For:
- Energy & Passion: Someone who genuinely loves working with children and has a "can-do" attitude.
- Experience: Previous experience in childcare, teaching, coaching, or camp counseling is a major plus.
- Reliability: Strong communication skills and a commitment to the summer schedule.
- Certifications: Current CPR/First Aid certification is preferred (but we can help you get certified!).
- Requirements: Must be 18+ for Lead Teachers and 21+ for Drivers with a clean driving record.
