Do you enjoy variety in your work and have a passion for helping young children learn and grow? Join SEK-CAP, Inc. as a Substitute Teacher Aide and play a vital role in supporting classrooms across our early learning centers. You’ll help maintain continuity of care and education for children ages 0–5, ensuring every classroom meets Head Start standards for safety, learning, and engagement.
This unique position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with multiple teams while using an agency-provided vehicle for work travel.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to assigned centers to support classroom needs and maintain adult/child ratios.
- Engage children in play-based learning and social-emotional development.
- Adapt activities to meet individual needs, including children with special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a safe, inviting environment.
- Use Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies to encourage positive behaviors.
- Comply with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or GED required; CDA or Early Childhood degree preferred.
- Experience in early childhood education is a plus.
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between centers using an agency vehicle.
