Role Description
The Study Abroad Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu. This role involves guiding students through the entire study abroad process, including program selection, application planning, and aligning choices with academic and career goals. The advisor will conduct one-on-one consultations, host information sessions, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of international universities, courses, and admission requirements. Daily responsibilities include assisting with documentation, coordinating visa-related guidance, and collaborating with mentors and internal teams to provide a seamless advising experience. The advisor will also track student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the development of resources and outreach initiatives that support learners and families.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Educational Consulting and Consulting to support students in selecting suitable programs and pathways.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills for working effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Knowledge of Visas and basic study abroad procedures to guide learners through application and immigration requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, international relations, or a related field.
- Experience in academic advising, student counseling, or international education is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Strong cultural awareness, problem-solving skills, and a learner-centered approach to advising.
