Role Description The Space Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging astronomy, space science, and related STEM lessons to school-age learners, following the organization’s curriculum and teaching modules. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dwarka, requiring regular classroom teaching, hands-on demonstrations, and supervision of student activities and projects. The teacher will plan lessons, prepare teaching materials, conduct experiments and observational sessions (including telescope-based activities), and assess learner progress through assignments and evaluations. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with school staff, supporting events such as workshops, camps, and outreach programs, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and inquiry-driven learning environment. The role also involves staying updated with developments in space science and integrating them into teaching content to inspire curiosity and scientific temperament in learners.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Science Education and Physics knowledge relevant to astronomy and space science.
  • Candidates should possess solid Mathematics skills to support quantitative and analytical aspects of space science teaching.
  • Candidates should be a Qualified Teacher with recognized teaching credentials and classroom experience.
  • Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning abilities, including curriculum implementation and activity-based learning design.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in astronomy education, familiarity with telescopes and observational tools, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to engage diverse learners.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physics, Astronomy, Space Science, Education, or a related field is preferred, along with a demonstrated commitment to promoting scientific thinking and inclusive learning.

Salary Range: 15K to 25K
