Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Space Educator role based in Dwarka. The Space Educator will design and deliver engaging astronomy and space science lessons, workshops, and activities for school and community learners across different age groups. Daily responsibilities include lesson planning, preparing teaching materials and demonstrations, conducting interactive classroom and outdoor sessions (such as night-sky observations), and ensuring learner safety and engagement. The role involves explaining complex scientific concepts in clear, age-appropriate language, managing classroom dynamics, and assessing learner understanding through quizzes, projects, or practical exercises. The Space Educator will also participate in educator training sessions, support curriculum development, collaborate with schools and internal teams for event coordination, and represent the organization during outreach programs, science fairs, and special events.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience facilitating learning for school or youth audiences in science, astronomy, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing age-appropriate modules, activities, and assessments for diverse learner groups.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain scientific concepts clearly, lead interactive sessions, and engage learners with different learning styles.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate experiential and inquiry-based learning methods into science education programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Astronomy, Physics, Education, or a related discipline (Master’s degree or specialized certification in astronomy/space science is an advantage).
- Comfort with basic astronomical equipment (e.g., telescopes, binoculars) and willingness to learn observational techniques.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in adhering to school schedules and program timelines.
- Motivation to inspire scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and a growth mindset in learners from diverse
