Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated TGT Social Studies Teacher to teach middle school students (Grades VI–VIII). The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to create engaging learning experiences that foster critical thinking and a deeper understanding of History, Geography, Civics, and related social science concepts.
Key Overview
• Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum, covering History, Geography, Civics, and related interdisciplinary topics for middle school students.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching resources, assessments, projects, and interactive classroom activities that promote conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and real-world application.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, periodic tests, and examinations while maintaining accurate academic records.
• Foster an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discussion, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
• Integrate technology, current affairs, maps, case studies, and experiential learning strategies to make lessons engaging and relevant.
• Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial instruction, guidance, and constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Participate actively in school events, examinations, parent-teacher meetings, faculty discussions, and professional development programs.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related discipline (Mandatory)
• B.Ed. (Mandatory)
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience teaching Social Studies to middle school students in a CBSE school.
• Strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum, classroom management, and student assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
