About the Role
We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Biology K10 (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on K-10 biology education, scientific understanding, curriculum alignment, and educational content quality.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to biology concepts, life sciences, ecosystems, human body systems, genetics, plants, animals, scientific inquiry, and educational problem-solving, helping improve how AI models understand and teach biology to school-level learners.
Your expertise will contribute to improving AI systems used for educational platforms, tutoring solutions, learning applications, curriculum support, and intelligent teaching technologies.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated biology educational content
- Review peer-developed deliverables to improve AI research quality and consistency
- Assess AI outputs for scientific accuracy, age appropriateness, curriculum relevance, conceptual clarity, and educational value
- Identify factual errors, misconceptions, incomplete explanations, or curriculum alignment issues in AI-generated content and provide structured feedback
- Support workflows involving lesson content, practice questions, assessments, explanations, and educational resources
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on biology education and student learning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany, Education, or a related field
- Strong understanding of K-10 biology concepts and science curricula
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, curriculum development, educational content creation, or academic support is preferred
- Ability to explain biological concepts clearly for school-level learners
- Familiarity with educational standards, assessment methods, and student learning needs
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
