Position Summary
This course will develop and enhance students’ practical knowledge and skills in anti-racist social work practice. It offers a space to learn about all aspects of racism, with a specific focus on how racism manifests in interpersonal contexts through microaggressions, microinvalidations and the impact of these experiences. Students will interrogate their own lived experiences as it relates to race and racism, and will learn how to address racism in their social work practice.
Qualifications
- Required Academic Degree: Master’s Degree
- Required Discipline: Social Work or related
- Required Areas of Specialization: PhD Degree an asset. Eligibility for appointment to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is required to teach graduate courses.
