This course is the 3rd in a sequence of 4 core design studios in the professionally accredited Master of Landscape Architecture program. The Integrated Urbanism Studio (ARC
2013/LAN
2013/URD
1011) serves as a core component of the architecture, landscape architecture and urban design programs at the Daniels Faculty, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to address the complex challenges of 21st‑century urbanism. Large‑scale site integrates regional questions of ecology and hydrology with contemporary social, cultural and aesthetic issues.

Class Schedule

Monday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Thursday 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Sessional Dates of Appointment

1 September 2026 – 31 January 2026

Salary (per half‑course, inclusive of vacation)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Master of Landscape Architecture and minimum 5 years of professional experience in landscape architectural design and master planning.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience teaching in the Daniels MLA studio desirable.

Description of Duties

Work with studio coordinator, delivery of course material; design studio instruction, delivery and review of assignments, final reviews and deferred final reviews; marking of student work, submission of grades, responding to student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.

Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
