Role Overview

Sessional instructors will teach online and on‑campus graduate courses that are integral parts of the graduate programs in the Werklund School of Education. The course is EDER 678.02 – Behaviour Assessment & Intervention, delivered online.

In this course, students will learn how to conduct a functional behavioural assessment in their classroom using observation and interviewing. Students will create a behavioural support plan for their classroom.

Position Requirements

Educational Research consists of Educational Studies in Adult Learning, Curriculum and Learning, Language and Literacy, Leadership, and the Learning Sciences.

Desired Qualifications

  • A completed doctorate in education or a related area.
  • Evidence of successful teaching and leadership experience in school, university, or workplace settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in online/distance education.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative culture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the graduate programs and specializations in Educational Research are considered assets for the sessional teaching positions.
