About the Role
Motivated and experienced English language teaching professional seeking the role of Academic Manager (Senior Teacher) at British Council to lead teacher development, ensure academic excellence, and deliver inclusive, learner-centred English language programmes through effective mentoring, quality assurance, and strong academic leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead teacher development
- Ensure academic excellence
- Deliver inclusive, learner-centred English language programmes
- Provide effective mentoring

- Exhibit strong academic leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Honors Undergraduate Degree in any Discipline
Required Skills
- Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills
- Ability to motivate learners and create inclusive environments
- Effective assessment, feedback, and resource management skills
- Strong professional values and leadership capability
Preferred Skills
- Minimum 2 years' post-diploma teaching experience
- CELTA/Trinity, DELTA/Trinity Diploma TESOL or equivalent
- Strong experience in teacher training and academic coordination
- Excellent English proficiency (CEFR C2 level preferred)
- Experience teaching young learners, adults, IELTS, and corporate classes
- Relevant Master’s degree and academic management experience preferred
