Role Description: The Senior Counselor UK will provide expert guidance to students seeking higher education opportunities in the United Kingdom. This full-time, on-site role in Kathmandu involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing academic profiles, and recommending suitable courses and universities. The role includes guiding students through application requirements, admission processes, and scholarship opportunities, as well as coordinating documentation and supporting visa applications. The Senior Counselor UK will also conduct or support information sessions, follow up with prospective students and families, and maintain accurate counseling records. Additionally, this role will collaborate with internal teams, contribute to marketing and outreach activities, and stay current on UK education policies, immigration rules, and institutional updates.
Qualifications
- Strong student counseling and advisory skills, with experience guiding learners through university selection, applications, and decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of UK higher education systems, universities, course structures, and current UK visa and immigration requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Proficiency in organizing and managing documentation, including applications, supporting documents, and visa-related paperwork with high accuracy.
- Ability to conduct and support test preparation guidance (e.g., IELTS/PTE information) and advise on entry requirements and language proficiency standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple student cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; previous experience in international education consultancy is highly preferred.
