Senior Adult Learning Tutor – Annualised at Norfolk County Council in King’s Lynn, EN, GB
Grade I / Adult Learning Tutor (Grade H). 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE). Salary: £37,280 to £39,152 per annum pro rata (Scale I) or £34,434 to £36,363 per annum pro rata (Scale H).

Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational teaching to learners from other countries, delivering ESOL classes to Norfolk residents and new arrivals, including pre‑literate learners.
- Work closely as part of the Foundation Learning Skills curriculum team to ensure high‑quality ESOL instruction.
- Possibly teach additional hours on the English Functional Skills curriculum.
- Deliver a range of accreditation to help post‑19 learners advance into secure employment, reduce reliance on public services and support families.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum CELTA or TESOL qualification, plus Level 2 English and maths qualifications.
- A learner‑centred, active approach with appreciation for virtual learning.
- Excellent ICT skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, web‑based learning programmes).
- Clear and effective communication across multiple media.
- Exceptional organisational ability and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience working within a virtual team and independently managing teaching duties.
- Awareness of data protection, safeguarding, Prevent and information management.
- Expectation to obtain a level‑4 generic teaching qualification if not already held.
