About the Role

The Senior Academic Manager at the Marketing Institute of Singapore Business School will lead the strategic direction and oversight of academic programs, focusing on course development, lecturer recruitment and evaluation, quality control (QC), and learning and development management. This role is pivotal in ensuring academic excellence, fostering innovation in curriculum design, and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning within the institute.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development and Management: Design, review, and update the curriculum to ensure it meets educational standards and aligns with the institution's goals. Oversee the implementation of new programs and courses.
  • Lecturer Evaluation and Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies for lecturer recruitment, evaluation, and professional development. Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching quality. Foster a supportive and collaborative environment for institute members.
  • Quality Control (QC) and Assurance: Establish and enforce policies and procedures to maintain high academic standards and compliance with accreditation requirements. Conduct regular reviews and audits of academic programs and teaching methodologies. Implement measures for continuous improvement in curriculum design and delivery.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage the academic budget and allocate resources efficiently. Oversee the procurement of educational materials and equipment.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Foster partnerships with other educational institutions, industry partners, and community organizations. Represent the institution at academic conferences and professional associations.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the institution's strategic planning process. Develop long-term goals and plans for academic programs.
  • Other Responsibilities: Liaison with Academic and Exam Board. Any ad-hoc task or project as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At Least – Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4 years relevant experience
  • Experience in education/training industry
  • Familiarity with academic QA/compliance
  • Strong coordination and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

  • EduTrust / WSQ exposure
  • ACTA/ACLP certified
  • Experience managing adjunct lecturers
  • Experience with curriculum reviews/audits
