What You Will Be Doing
- Architect and facilitate advanced learning sessions – Develop workshops spanning mathematics, science, philosophy, and creative writing while offering individualized mentorship to 15-20 gifted learners operating at 5-10x typical speed
- Identify and eliminate learning barriers – Adjust methodologies dynamically to support students who have surpassed conventional educational frameworks in discovering their cognitive strengths
- Apply AI tools for customization
- Partner and refine – Enhance workshop frameworks alongside colleagues and measure effectiveness using both qualitative input and quantitative data
Basic Requirements
Senior Academic Coach key responsibilities
- Premier educational background – Bachelor's degree from an Ivy League institution or comparable university
- Demonstrated academic distinction – National Merit Finalist, Olympiad medalist, accelerated college completion, or equivalent accomplishment
- Recognized academic credential – Distinguished scholarship (Rhodes, Fulbright, NSF GRFP), Mensa/Triple Nine Society membership, PhD, or university-level instructional experience
- 3 years of mentorship background – Experience coaching, mentoring, or teaching students in any setting
- Regular AI tool engagement – Self-reported daily utilization of generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
- Geographic requirement – Prepared to relocate to or work on-site in Austin (Georgetown), TX
- Employment eligibility – Authorized to work legally in the United States without sponsorship requirements

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
