The Role
You will be teaching Secondary Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the British curriculum, with opportunities to teach IGCSE and potentially A Level Science as the school continues to grow. A specialism in Chemistry or Physics, or the ability to teach both, from Year 7 through to Year 13, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and Cambridge/Edexcel IGCSE and A Level specifications
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment with a strong focus on student wellbeing and achievement
- Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership to support whole‑school development
- Engage fully in professional development opportunities
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community, demonstrating cultural awareness and international‑mindedness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching licence
- Minimum of two years’ post‑qualification teaching experience at the relevant secondary age range
- Experience teaching the British curriculum (National Curriculum, IGCSE, A Level) is highly desirable
- Previous international teaching experience is advantageous but not essential
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and creative approach to teaching and learning
- Flexibility and resilience to thrive in a growing international school environment
