Position Details
Reporting to the Principal of the assigned school, the Long‑Term Occasional Teacher is responsible for providing continuous, high‑quality education during the temporary absence of the regular teacher. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting student achievement and well‑being in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education standards and Board Policies.
- Teach French language and literature to 3 sections.
- Maintain classroom environment and manage student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership.
- Deliver differentiated instruction and assessment.
Qualifications
- Intermediate French proficiency.
- Valid teaching certificate and teaching experience.
Compensation
$59,300.82 – $ per annum; salary grid rate is based on QECO rating and teaching experience; annual salary is prorated based on FTE; grid rate effective September 1, 2025.
Period
Effectivity:
September 2, 2026 – February 2, 2027; periods of 2, 3, or 4 terms.
