Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 (based on experience)
Relocation and housing allowance included along with a Head of department bonus.
POSITION
We are seeking a versatile Middle & Upper School Science Teacher who will also serve as Department Chair. This individual will teach across multiple scientific disciplines while providing instructional leadership, supporting faculty development, and advancing the strategic vision of the STEM program.
While we give particular consideration to candidates with a background in physics, teaching assignments may also include earth science, biology, chemistry, forensic science, and/or physical science.
This role may also include serving as Head of Department for a small science team (5 staff), offering an excellent leadership opportunity.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned science courses across middle and upper school
- Foster a rigorous, inquiry-based classroom culture grounded in curiosity and critical thinking
- Lead hands-on laboratory experiences and authentic scientific investigation
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience (middle or upper school)
Degree in a scientific discipline (advanced degree preferred)
Experience with hands-on labs and inquiry-based learning
Ability to teach multiple sciences, ideally including Physics
