A LEVEL PHYSICS TEACHER
Questfield International College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join our Science Department.
The successful candidate will have experience teaching Physics to examination classes, ideally at Cambridge International AS & A Level, and will be confident preparing students for external written and practical examinations.
The role will primarily focus on A Level Physics, but will also include teaching other classes according to the candidate’s experience and the needs of the school. This may include IGCSE Physics, IGCSE Science and Secondary Science.
Main responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons at A Level.
• Prepare students effectively for external written and practical examinations.
• Teach IGCSE and Secondary Science classes as required.
• Use assessment data, past papers and targeted intervention to support student progress.
• Develop students’ mathematical, practical and scientific reasoning skills.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and the wider work of the Science Department.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement, behaviour and independent learning.
Candidate profile:
• A relevant degree in Physics, Engineering or a closely related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Physics to examination classes.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching practical Physics.
• Experience preparing students for A Level or equivalent examinations.
• The ability to teach IGCSE and general Secondary Science.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
Experience with the Cambridge curriculum and a strong record of examination-class outcomes are highly desirable.
The ability to teach Science in Romanian is highly desirable, but it is not a mandatory requirement.
