Role Description
The Science Teacher role at Dcontracto is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Science Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons in core science subjects, with a focus on physics and related scientific concepts, aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom instruction, assessing student progress through assignments and exams, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, support diverse learning needs, and integrate mathematics where relevant to strengthen students’ scientific understanding. Additional tasks include collaborating with colleagues, participating in school meetings and events, and contributing to ongoing curriculum improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Science Education, with the ability to teach core scientific principles clearly and effectively.
- Subject-matter expertise in Physics, with experience explaining complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Competence in Mathematics sufficient to support science instruction and problem-solving activities.
- Qualified Teacher status and demonstrated experience in classroom management and student assessment.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum alignment, and creating engaging, age-appropriate instructional materials.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science Education, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
