Job Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership to ensure the school’s academic excellence and holistic development of students.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review the school’s curriculum, policies, and strategic plans.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facilities management.
- Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and retain high‑quality teaching and support staff.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for students, staff, and parents.
- Lead parent‑teacher interactions, community outreach, and stakeholder communication initiatives.
- Monitor academic performance metrics, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant educational regulations, accreditation standards, and government guidelines.
- Manage the school’s budget, financial planning, and procurement processes responsibly.
- Promote the integration of technology and innovative teaching methods across classrooms.
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, School Management, or a related field (e.g., M.A./M.Ed.).
- Recognized teaching certification and/or principal certification from an authorized educational board.
- Strong knowledge of Indian education policies, curricula (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, etc.), and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in English and the regional language(s) of the school’s location.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, manage conflict, and inspire teams.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 8‑10 years of progressive experience in school settings, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Vice‑Principal, Head of Department).
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes and school rankings.
- Experience in budgeting, resource management, and staff development.
- Familiarity with modern educational technologies and e‑learning platforms.
- Active participation in professional networks, conferences, and continuous professional development.
