About the Company
The American Creativity Academy is seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Counselor to join our team in Kuwait. This position is open to both local and international applicants, offering the opportunity to work in a diverse, student-focused environment.
About the Role
The School Counselor will play a key role in supporting students across academic achievement, career development, and personal/social growth. The successful candidate will work closely with administrators, teachers, parents, and external partners to ensure students receive the guidance and support they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Deliver guidance programs aligned with school goals and student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Assist with student scheduling, placement, and record management
- Support crisis intervention and student wellbeing initiatives
- Conduct parent conferences and provide ongoing advisement
- Coordinate referrals to external agencies when needed
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the school guidance curriculum
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
- Serve as a resource for student services within the school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, School Counseling, or related field
- Master’s degree in School Counseling is an advantage
- Preferred 1–2 years of relevant experience (new graduates are welcome to apply)
- Counseling or teaching license preferred

- Experience in an international school setting

Pay range and compensation package
- Salary: Annual (12-month contract)
- Vacation: National and school holidays
- Education allowance: 50% tuition discount for up to 3 children
- Professional development allowance
- End-of-contract bonus
- Contract length: 2 years
- For overseas hires: Airfare provided, Accommodation provided
- For local hires: Local employment package applies (airfare and accommodation not included)
