Position Details
- Job Type: Part-time, Contractor
- Location: Remote (Work from home)
- Subjects: English Language Arts (ELA)
- Compensation: $25-$35 per 45-minute class and $30 – $50 per 1-hour class
- Group Size: 4 to 6 students
- Schedule: Currently looking for teachers for weekday afternoons/evenings from 8pm – 11pm EST. Teachers provide their availability, and we schedule classes accordingly. No minimum # of hours required. Courses run on a 12-week term basis for Fall, Winter, and Spring. Students and class times remain consistent throughout each term. Summer term is week-to-week.
Candidates with experience teaching younger students (K – G4) are preferred. Additionally, experience with small group online classes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective online lessons to students.
- Review, correct, and grade writing homework.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements
- State teaching certifications (e.g., K-4, 5-8, or specific secondary-level certifications).
- Proven teaching experience and a passion for education.
- Proficiency with computers and online teaching tools.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Reliable internet connection and a computer (PC or Mac) with webcam, microphone, and headphones.
