Position: Reading Intervention Teacher for Eastern Region
Location: Trois-Rivieres
Elevate literacy skills in young learners as an Itinerant Reading Intervention Teacher in the Eastern Region. Collaborate with school teams from Kindergarten to Grade 3, focusing on reading interventions and support for diverse learners.
This permanent term position requires a qualified educator committed to helping students meet their literacy benchmarks. You will implement targeted reading strategies, provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, and actively partner with classroom teachers. This role includes engaging in resource sharing and leading Collaborative Professional Learning Communities (CPLCs) within schools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct reading assessments for students in Grades 1-3
• Deliver direct Tier 2 and Tier 3 reading interventions
• Collaborate with teachers to inform instructional practices
• Share evidence-based resources and effective practices
• Lead literacy initiatives and monitor student progress
Requirements:
• OCT certification with primary qualifications
• Expertise in evidence-based reading instruction
• Experience in inclusive educational strategies
• Knowledge of Ontario Language curricula
• Valid driver’s license for travel across rural schools
