Position Overview
The PTE & IELTS Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and structured preparation classes for students at different English proficiency levels.
The successful candidate will guide students through all relevant test modules, provide personalised feedback, conduct mock tests, evaluate student performance, and help learners develop the skills and strategies required to achieve their target scores.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional PTE Academic and IELTS preparation classes in physical and online formats.
- Teach Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening modules using effective and updated teaching methods.
- Prepare structured lesson plans, practice materials, assignments, and assessment activities.
- Conduct regular mock tests, practice sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback to help students improve their English proficiency.
- Identify individual student weaknesses and develop appropriate improvement plans.
- Guide students on exam strategies, time management, question formats, and scoring criteria.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, assessments, and student performance.
- Motivate and mentor students throughout their preparation journey.
- Stay updated with the latest PTE Academic and IELTS exam formats, scoring systems, policies, and teaching strategies.
- Support students in achieving their target scores for international education, professional development, and migration purposes.
- Collaborate with the academic team to improve course materials, teaching quality, and overall student outcomes.
- Participate in academic meetings, training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities when required.
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above from a recognised institution.
- A degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field will be preferred.
- Relevant professional teaching certifications will be considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience as an IELTS and/or PTE Academic Trainer.
- Strong understanding of IELTS and PTE Academic examination structures, scoring systems, and preparation methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in helping students achieve strong examination results.
- Experience in both classroom-based and online teaching will be highly valued.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Minimum PTE Score 82-85 Or IELTS Band Score 8
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and practically.
- Strong assessment, feedback, and student mentoring skills.
- Ability to teach students with different learning abilities and proficiency levels.
- Professional, responsible, punctual, and student-focused attitude.
- Good knowledge of digital teaching platforms and online classroom tools.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate:
- Minimum PTE Score 82-85 Or IELTS Band Score 8
- Exceptional teaching and presentation ability.
- A proven record of helping students achieve high IELTS or PTE Academic scores.
- Strong knowledge of international English proficiency examinations.
- Practical experience in developing lesson plans and preparation materials.
- The ability to motivate, mentor, and support students effectively.
