The Role

Ideally, we are seeking a dynamic, adaptable and collaborative individual who is an outstanding, experienced Teacher of English and an effective, proven curriculum leader. As an innovative and knowledgeable leader, you should possess a thorough understanding of instructional and curriculum leadership, while remaining abreast of current developments within the Humanities Learning Area and translating these into the development of the College’s Business Plan.

As program coordinator you should work collaboratively with Humanities staff, students and the wider school community to provide strong educational leadership, drive improvement, and promote the College’s vision and strategic directions.

The successful applicant will ideally display strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and manage a vibrant Humanities team to deliver high-quality curriculum and programs. Leaders at Mindarie SC actively support staff by modelling restorative practices, facilitating professional dialogue, and coaching teachers to build positive, respectful relationships with students and colleagues.

You would be reflective in your practice, regularly evaluating the effectiveness of the Humanities Learning Area and teaching approaches, while contributing to a safe, supportive and accountable learning environment.   • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
