Job Description – Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, School of Construction
- Deliver high-quality teaching in construction, civil engineering, project management, quantity surveying, real estate, infrastructure, and related disciplines.
- Develop, review, and update curriculum aligned with industry requirements and accreditation standards.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, case studies, and field-based learning activities.
- Design, administer, and evaluate examinations, assignments, and assessments.
- Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
- Guide student projects, dissertations, internships, and capstone projects.
- Undertake research, scholarly activities, and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
- Secure research grants, consultancy assignments, and sponsored projects.
- Establish collaborations with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions.
- Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, management development programs, and industry engagement activities.
- Promote innovation, sustainability, digital construction, BIM, and emerging technologies in teaching and research.
- Participate in accreditation, ranking, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental, school, and university committees and administrative responsibilities.
- Mentor students and support their academic, professional, and career development.
- Foster an inclusive, ethical, and student-centered learning environment.
- Encourage interdisciplinary teaching, research, consultancy, and collaborative projects.
- Support outreach, community engagement, and professional service activities.
- Maintain academic records and ensure compliance with university policies and regulations.
- Associate Professors shall provide leadership in teaching, research, consultancy, and academic administration.
- Professors shall provide strategic leadership in academic, research, industry engagement, and institutional development.
Educational Qualifications:
- Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, Real Estate, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related discipline from a recognized university, NICMAR
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with a strong academic record, publications, and demonstrated research contributions.
- Professor: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with an outstanding record of research, publications, funded projects, consultancy, and academic leadership.
Experience Requirements:
- Candidates with a degree/diploma from National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) and relevant industry exposure in construction, infrastructure, project management, real estate, or allied sectors shall be preferred.
- Assistant Professor: Minimum experience as per regulatory norms; Associate Professor and Professor: Significant teaching, research, consultancy, industry, and academic leadership experience as per university and regulatory requirements, with preference for candidates having NICMAR qualifications and professional industry experience.
