About the Role

Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) is seeking a passionate and academically accomplished HR faculty member to join our management education team. The ideal candidate should possess strong teaching capabilities, relevant corporate exposure, and the ability to integrate industry practices with academic learning.

The faculty member will be responsible for delivering engaging classroom sessions, mentoring students, developing industry-relevant curriculum, and contributing to research and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality classroom sessions for MBA/PGDM students in Human Resource Management.
  • Teach a wide range of HR subjects, including but not limited to:

  • Integrate HR Analytics and data-driven decision-making into classroom teaching using tools such as Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, or similar platforms.
  • Design lesson plans, case studies, assessments, assignments, and experiential learning activities aligned with institutional standards.
  • Mentor students for placements, internships, live projects, and capstone projects.
  • Conduct research, publish papers in reputed journals, and participate in academic conferences.
  • Develop industry collaborations for guest lectures, live projects, certifications, and workshops.
  • Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, faculty development programs, and other institutional initiatives.
  • Contribute to student mentoring, admissions, academic administration, and institutional growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Human Resource Management, Management, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • Candidates without a Ph.D. are requested to refrain from applying.
  • Master's degree (MBA/PGDM) with specialization in Human Resources from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in an MBA/PGDM or equivalent management institution.
  • Relevant corporate/industry experience in Human Resources is mandatory.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong conceptual knowledge across core HR domains.
  • Hands-on experience in HR Analytics and data-driven HR decision-making.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, or equivalent.
  • Ability to teach using business cases, simulations, and experiential learning methodologies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent research aptitude with publications in reputed journals being an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Outcome-Based Education (OBE), NBA, NAAC, AICTE, and accreditation standards is desirable.
  • Ability to bridge academic concepts with real-world business applications.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Passionate educator with a student-centric approach.
  • Strong industry network and exposure to contemporary HR practices.
  • Experience in handling executive education, corporate training, consulting assignments, or Management Development Programs (MDPs) will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to incorporate technology, analytics, and AI-enabled HR practices into teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in MBA/PGDM education.
  • Relevant industry experience in Human Resources is mandatory.

Qualification

  • Ph.D. (Mandatory)
  • MBA/PGDM with HR Specialization
