Role Description The Primary Science and ICT Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that build strong foundational knowledge in science and ICT for primary-grade learners. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate curricula, preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will integrate hands-on experiments, project-based learning, and digital tools to foster curiosity, problem-solving, and responsible use of technology. Additional duties include maintaining classroom discipline, participating in school meetings and events, collaborating with colleagues on cross-curricular activities, and communicating regularly with parents and guardians about student development. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Karachi.
Qualifications
- Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Education, Science, ICT, or a related field.
- Experience teaching science and/or ICT at the primary level, with knowledge of age-appropriate pedagogy and curriculum standards.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
- Proficiency in using educational technology, computers, and common software applications to support teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to plan lessons, assess learning outcomes, and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
- Commitment to professional development, continuous learning, and collaboration within a school team.
- Fluency in English for instruction and reporting; familiarity with local language(s) in Karachi is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a school setting in Karachi or similar context is preferred.
