Role Description
This part-time, on-site Primary School Tutor role is based in Sion Mills, Co.Tyrone. The tutor will work directly with primary-aged children, delivering personalised instruction, facilitating group learning and creating engaging, screen-free educational experiences. Duties will include lesson planning, assessing student progress, fostering a supportive learning environment, and providing feedback to parents or guardians.
Qualifications
- Strong teaching or tutoring experience, with knowledge of primary education curriculum and pedagogy
- Proficiency in developing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering student confidence and enthusiasm for learning
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and support diverse learners
- Experience working in a low-stimulus or child-centered learning environment is an advantage
- Relevant teaching qualifications or certifications are preferred
- First-aid training and safeguarding awareness are beneficial
