Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Primary Math Teacher role based in Battaramulla. The Primary Math Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate math lessons that build strong foundational skills and foster a positive attitude toward mathematics. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans aligned with the school’s philosophy, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues and families to support learners’ overall development and well-being, and will participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. The role also involves maintaining an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of primary-level mathematics and effective teaching methodologies.
- Experience designing and implementing structured, engaging lesson plans for young learners.
- Demonstrated ability to assess student learning and adapt instruction to diverse needs.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills for working with learners, families, and colleagues.
- Recognized teaching qualification or degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching primary school learners is strongly preferred.

- Ability to work on-site in Battaramulla and participate fully in school life and community events.
