Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Primary/Elementary School Teacher for an on-site position in Bocas del Toro, Panama. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum, fostering critical thinking and creativity in young learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include classroom management, maintaining accurate records, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support individual growth. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Teach core primary subjects (Spanish, English, Math, Science, Social Studies)
✔ Plan engaging lessons and assess student progress
✔ Maintain accurate grading and student records
✔ Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
✔ Collaborate with parents, staff, and the school community
Qualifications
- Expertise in Teaching and Elementary Education to create engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Skills in Curriculum Development and the ability to tailor lessons to meet diverse student needs.
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A background in Education, with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Childhood Development, or a related field.
- Experience in bilingual settings (Spanish and English) is highly preferred.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Adaptability to work in a vibrant international community with cultural sensitivity and openness.
Requirements:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field)
🌍 Fluency in both English and Spanish
📚 Ability to teach all primary subjects
🛡 Must pass criminal background and psychological checks
📅 Minimum 2-year commitment
