Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pre-Primary Teacher role based at Mansukhbhai Kothari National School in Pune City. The Pre-Primary Teacher will plan and conduct age-appropriate learning activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, organizing classroom resources, facilitating play-based learning, and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. The teacher will observe and document student progress, provide regular feedback to parents and guardians, and participate in parent–teacher meetings. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues on curriculum planning, school events, and co-curricular activities, as well as engaging in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, with a focus on child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
- Demonstrated teaching experience with young learners, using interactive, play-based, and learner-centered methods.
- Ability to design and implement engaging curriculum and lesson plans aligned with school standards (Curriculum Development, Education).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with children, families, and colleagues (Communication).
- Relevant qualification such as a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, D.Ed., B.Ed. (Pre-Primary/Primary), or equivalent.
- Ability to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
- Strong classroom management, patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities, school events, and continuous professional development.
