Homeschool Teacher (Full-Time Learning Pod Lead)
Location: In-home / community-based learning
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Start Date: August (with optional earlier onboarding in June and July)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Homeschool Teacher to lead a small learning pod (4–6 children, ages 4–6). This is a full-time role focused on delivering a high-quality, personalized education that blends strong academics with social-emotional development, hands-on learning, and real-world experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum & Instruction
- Plan and deliver daily lessons in reading, writing, math, and foundational subjects
- Develop and adapt customized curriculum based on each child’s level and progress
- Incorporate Montessori, play-based, hands-on learning, including science, geography, and cultural studies
- Foster creativity through art, music, storytelling, and movement
- Capable teaching Singapore Math and executing STEM experiments
Assessment, Data & Reporting
- Conduct and interpret MAP assessments to track academic growth
- Maintain consistent data collection and progress tracking for each student
- Adjust instruction based on performance, strengths, and areas for growth
- Provide regular reports and updates to parents
Child Development & SEL
- Support emotional regulation, empathy, and social skills
- Foster independence, responsibility, and problem-solving
- Guide children in communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution
- Encourage a strong growth mindset
Routine & Environment
- Maintain a structured yet flexible daily schedule
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Integrate outdoor play, movement, and physical activity into daily routines
Social & Experiential Learning
- Plan field trips, outdoor exploration, and community-based learning
- Facilitate group collaboration, play, and peer interaction
- Incorporate life skills and real-world learning experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field (preferred)
- At least 2 years experience teaching children ages 4–6, ideally in small-group or personalized settings
- Experience with or willingness to learn MAP testing and data-driven instruction
- Familiarity with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, Forest learning or play-based learning (a plus)
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills

Pay: $30.00 – $60.00 per hour
