Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site PGT Mathematics role based in Kondhwa, Pune City. The PGT Mathematics educator will plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and academic standards for higher classes. Responsibilities include designing detailed lesson plans, preparing teaching materials, and using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. The educator will assess student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records. Additional duties include supporting curriculum development, mentoring students for competitive exams and mathematics competitions, collaborating with colleagues and parents, participating in school events and co-curricular activities, and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Strong subject expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and logically.
- Experience in Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning for middle and senior secondary classes, aligned with relevant educational boards.
- Excellent Communication skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and parents, including clear written and verbal communication.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a Master’s degree in Mathematics (or equivalent) and a B.Ed. or recognized teacher training certification.
- Prior experience as a PGT or senior secondary Mathematics teacher, preferably in a reputed school setting.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching, manage classrooms effectively, and support diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, continuous professional development, and participation in school activities and events.
