Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PGT Biology role based at Mahesh Memorial Public Higher Secondary School, Bagh. The PGT Biology teacher will plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for senior secondary classes in alignment with CBSE curriculum and school guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching theoretical and practical components, conducting laboratory sessions, and ensuring safe and effective use of lab equipment and materials. The role involves evaluating student performance through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students in board exam preparation. The teacher will also maintain academic records, participate in staff meetings, coordinate with other faculty members, communicate with parents/guardians when required, and contribute to co-curricular and school development activities.
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching proficiency in Biology and related life sciences.
- Hands-on Laboratory Skills and familiarity with safe lab practices and equipment handling.
- Ability to apply Research-oriented thinking to enrich classroom teaching and student projects.
- Effective Communication skills for clear instruction, student engagement, and collaboration with colleagues and families.
- Understanding of Microbiology concepts and their integration within the senior secondary Biology curriculum.
- Postgraduate degree in Biology or a related discipline, along with B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training, as per CBSE norms.
- Prior experience teaching Biology at senior secondary level (CBSE or similar) preferred.
- Ability to use basic educational technology (presentations, digital resources, online assessments) to support learning.
