Duties
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to children’s developmental stages, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori-inspired activities.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s social-emotional growth.
- Conduct classroom management duties to ensure an organized space conducive to learning and exploration for toddlers through preschoolers.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, milestones, and any special educational needs related to early intervention or special education programs.
- Incorporate early childhood education best practices such as standardized testing preparation and lesson planning for diverse learners.
- Support classroom activities with hands-on teaching methods that foster childhood development, including working with children with special needs or requiring additional support.
- Maintain detailed records of each child’s progress, behavior management strategies, and lesson plans while adhering to childcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential; classroom experience in early childhood education is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that includes literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is required; valid license as a home daycare provider is essential.
