Position description

The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Mount Allison University invites applications for 3 stipendiary (part-time) appointments in the Winter 2027 semester. The Winter session runs from January 06 – April 09, 2027.

Candidates may apply to one or more of the following:

SPAN 1811 Latin America in its Own Voice MWF 10:30-11:20

SPAN 3111 Advanced Spanish II MWF 8:30-9:20

SPAN 3331 Spanish American Poetry 13.30 -14.20

Candidates should have completed an M.A. or PhD in Hispanic Studies or equivalent degree. Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience at the university level and who have expertise in Latin American Studies. These courses involve three hours of class time per week, and the anticipated class size is 10-30 students. Preference is for in-person, on-campus courses, but applications for online instruction will also be considered.
