Part-Time Lecturer in Physics Jobs in Sackville, Canada at Mount Allison University

Mount Allison University is seeking a part-time lecturer for three undergraduate physics courses starting Fall 2026. Teach General Physics I, Modern Physics, and Mathematical Physics while engaging students in both lectures and labs.

The Physics Department invites applicants with a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field. Ideal candidates will have substantial teaching experience at the undergraduate level and a passion for educating future physicists. Each course involves around six contact hours per week in a vibrant learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach PHYS 1051:
General Physics I for 80 students

• Conduct lectures and labs for PHYS 2811:
Modern Physics

• Deliver instruction for PHYS 3451:
Methods of Mathematical Physics

• Engage students with interactive teaching methods

• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Physics or related discipline

• Teaching experience in undergraduate physics courses

• Strong communication skills

• Submission of teaching philosophy and references
