The Department of Communications and New Media is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer to teach courses in either its undergraduate or Master by Coursework programmes. We welcome applications from individuals with strong academic training and relevant teaching experience in communications or related disciplines.
Job Description
The Part-Time Lecturer will be responsible for teaching and supporting student learning in assigned courses within the Department of Communications and New Media. The role involves delivering high-quality seminars, assessing student work, providing academic guidance, and contributing to course administration. Where applicable, the lecturer will also coordinate with a team of tutors to ensure smooth course delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct seminars for undergraduate and/or Master by Coursework students
- Grade assignments, projects, and other forms of student assessment
- Hold student consultation sessions and provide academic support as needed
- Manage course-related administrative duties
- Coordinate with a team of tutors, where applicable, to support course delivery and consistency
Qualifications
- At least a Master’s degree in Communications or a related discipline
- Relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level will be an advantage
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members and tutors
