Role Description
This is a part-time contract role for an ELA/Reading Teacher at HomeSTEM Academy. The teacher will deliver engaging live virtual ELA/Reading instruction tailored to middle school students, design lesson plans aligned with academic standards, and evaluate student progress through formative assessments. Additional responsibilities include providing reading intervention strategies, guiding students in analytical writing, and fostering critical thinking in English Language Arts. This is a remote position.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching and education, particularly within elementary settings
- Proficiency in reading intervention methodologies and instructional best practices
- Strong skills in writing, analytical writing instruction, and fostering critical thinking
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in virtual learning environments
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Education, English Language Arts, or a related field
- Experience working in remote or virtual learning environments is a plus
