Part Time Before and After School Educators -Peoria Area Jobs in Aurora, USA at Right At School
Right At School is hiring Part‑Time Before and After‑School Educators for the 2026‑2027 school year. Locations are in the Peoria area schools. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily
Activities:
prepare activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives; lead structured fitness, activity, and curriculum sessions that are educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Lead by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, model positive guidance, and demonstrate effective classroom management.
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols; document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communication: effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Split Shift
Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 7:15 am‑8:30 am and 3:15 pm‑6:00 pm (except early release days, 2:00 pm‑6:00 pm).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; 18 or older.
- At least 1 year of verified experience working with children under 13 in a group or school setting.
- Ability to lift 25 lb.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills; works well in a team.
- Ability to meet state‑specific requirements;
First Aid & CPR certification (in‑person if required, obtain within 30 days of employment); tuberculosis test cleared (within 30 days if required); proof of MMR if required. - Drive to inspire a love for learning, commitment to healthy living, and flexibility to support additional local programs.
