Medicine Hat Christian School seeks a passionate, creative, faith-based music/art teacher. Medicine Hat Christian School is a K to 9 school. It serves approximately 300 students and is an alternative Christian faith education program within the Medicine Hat Public School Division. The successful candidate will promote the school mission which is inspiring spiritual, academic, and personal growth through Christ-centered learning. We are looking for a part-time teacher from August 27, 2026- June 29, 2027.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music/art to Kindergarten to Grade 6 students, and a middle school music/art CTF options classes. In this role, the candidate will develop and implement engaging lessons; foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation; and assess and monitor student progress.
Preference Will Be Given To The Candidate Who Can
- support a Christian faith perspective in teaching, learning and relationships
- facilitate students and parents in having a personal connection with the school
- work collaboratively as part of a team
- bring experience teaching across multiple grade levels
- experience with fine arts programming
- innovate, leverage technology, and differentiate instruction to ensure all students can succeed
