Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an Online Scratch Mentor (UK shift) and the working hours are from 8:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Responsibilities include conducting live, interactive Scratch programming classes for students, following a structured curriculum to facilitate hands-on learning experiences. The mentor will guide students in developing creative coding projects, provide individualized feedback, and ensure a positive and engaging online learning environment. Consistent communication with students and their guardians is also required to track and report progress effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Scratch programming and basic coding concepts.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or delivering interactive workshops to children.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, engaging manner with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Passion for education, creativity, and enabling young learners to succeed in coding.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively teach in a remote setup and manage class schedules.
- Relevant experience with online learning tools and platforms is a plus.
- Flexible availability to teach during UK hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
