The School of Philosophy at University College Dublin seeks to appoint a temporary one-year full-time Teaching Fellow in Ethics, starting 1 September 2026. AOS ethical theory, AOC applied ethics and political philosophy, and ideally an AOC in philosophy of law.

Although this is predominantly a teaching role, the Fellow will also assist the Director of the Centre for Ethics in Public Life (CEPL) in the organisation of workshops and other events during the year. As we are a pluralist School, an openness to different philosophical traditions will be welcome.

Mandatory requirements: a completed PhD, and teaching experience.

Important note: those without permission to work in the EU are not eligible for this position.

Salary: €44,396 per annum.
